ABOUT
Marsha Page, aka, The Melanin Therapist, is a New York Emmy nominated, makeup artist and licensed esthetician, with experience in film, television, editorial, theater, special effects, bridal and fashion.
She discovered her passion for make-up artistry in the late 1990's. As a recent college grad, pursuing a career in the legal industry, her passion came to light when she was looking for ways to mask her recent weight gain. She began to use make-up as a way to empower herself and take the focus off her body and direct it to enhancing the features of her face. Prior to that, she had only filled in her brows with eyebrow pencil, put on eyeliner, and applied lip balm. While exploring and researching various makeup product lines, and experimenting daily, she discovered her talent for makeup application, despite the fact that she had no formal training at the time.
After training at the prestigious Christine Valmy International School of Esthetics and Cosmetology in New York City, Marsha began her love affair with make-up artistry working for industry leader, M.A.C. Cosmetics.
In 2003, she founded Marsha's Makeovers, Inc., a professional makeup artistry company, dedicated to empowering women by helping them realize their BEAUTY, POWER & CONFIDENCE.
With almost 25 years of experience in the beauty and entertainment industry, Marsha has been a beauty contributor for InStyle Magazine's digital platform, as well as appearing as a featured contributor and makeup artist, on the Netflix documentary series, The Black Beauty Effect. Her work has also been seen in national editorial campaigns for Harpar's Bazaar, Vogue and Parents magazines. Her work on BK Live!, a daily lifestyle and culture talk show which reached an audience in all 5 boroughs of NYC, earned Marsha her first New York Emmy nomination.
As a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 798 Hairstylists & Makeup Artists, Marsha Page is known for her work in feature films such as, The Week Of and The Photograph, and television series including, God Friended Me, Wu- Tang American Saga, City on A Hill, Prodigal Son, Harlem, Succession S4, Life & Beth S2 & The Diplomat S3.
